Jay Beeler, President

    A 1970 graduate of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), majoring in radio/television and minoring in journalism, Jay is a former public relations lecturer in the journalism department at CSULB. He holds a professional designation in public relations from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) as well.  Formerly, Jay was corporate communications director for Hyatt Medical Enterprises a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels Corp., vice president of Bishop & Associates, a Marina del Rey public relations/advertising agency, public relations director for Transamerica Financial Corp., and engineering administrative assistant at the Douglas Aircraft Division of McDonnell Douglas Corp.

Stacey B. Francis, VP & Art Director

    Stacey is responsible for account supervision, creative development, agency production coordination, and she is editor of numerous client newsletters. Affiliated with B&A since 1986, she received her bachelor's degree in journalism from CSULB, where she minored in marketing and graduated with honors. Recently honored for her publications work by the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, Stacey has created and implemented hundreds of marketing materials for a wide variety of our clients and serves as managing editor of publications for Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance. She is skilled in traditional and computer-based design and art production.

Freelance Specialists

    As needed for each client or individual project, B&A expands its team of creative marketing professionals, adding the unique talents of freelance specialists to complement our full-time staff. The B&A network of independent professionals is extensive and encompasses all areas of marketing communications.

Michael C. Westlund, creative director/copywriter/marketing consultant, is a key member of the B&A network for more than eight years, Michael is a creative communications professional who considers marketing to be the foundation upon which creative concepts should be developed. During his more than 20 years in the communications field, Michael has produced award-winning, results-generating copy, concepts and programs in all advertising media for organizations in virtually every industry.

Robert C. Myrtle, DPA, research and planning associate, is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of research instruments. These include research vehicles for public relations, marketing, advertising, and destination perceptions. Bob has held a number of managerial positions in the public and private sectors and has been published widely in areas pertaining to management, planning and organizational change. He received his doctorate from USC in 1975, where he is currently an associate professor of public administration.
